Step-by-Step Gameplay Flow
1. Join the Zoom Room
At game time, click your invitation link.
You’ll enter as a citizen — but not all citizens are innocent.
Your camera should be on.
Your face becomes your mask, your tell, your weapon.
2. Receive Your Role (Privately)
The Host will send you your role via Zoom direct message:
🩸 Killer — eliminate one player every night
🔍 Detective — investigate one player per round
🩹 Doctor — save a player from death
🕯 Villager — decide who lives or dies by vote
Do not reveal your role.
Your survival depends on secrecy.
3. Night Phase
The Host will say:
“The town sleeps.”
Everyone closes their eyes or looks down.
Then — in silence:
Role Action
Killer - Chooses one person to eliminate
Detective - Chooses one player to investigate
Doctor - Chooses a player to protect
The Host resolves all actions privately.
4. Morning Reveal
The town awakens.
One may not.
The Host announces whether someone died in the night —
or whether a Doctor saved them at the final breath.
Tension rises. Suspicion begins.
5. Discussion & Accusation
Players speak freely.
You debate, defend, accuse, deflect, plead, betray.
Ask questions.
Call out behavior.
Read faces. Track lies.
Your words are your life.
When the town is ready, one player is chosen to stand trial.
6. The Trial & Vote
The accused defends themselves with whatever truth — or lie — they can muster.
Then the town votes.
Vote Result Outcome
Majority Guilty - The accused player is executed
Majority Innocent - They are spared… for now
The executed player reveals their true role.
If the town kills the Killer, victory.
If they kill someone innocent, chaos deepens.
7. Repeat Until Truth Survives
Night falls. Day returns.
Players die. Evidence grows. Trust cracks.
The town wins when the Killer is eliminated.
The Killer wins when only they — or they and one other — remain.
Tips for New Players
Speak early — silence looks suspicious.
Don’t trust smiles without reason.
The loudest voice might be guilty… or innocent.
If you’re the Killer — stay calm. Lies work best when simple.
If you’re a Villager — watch behavior, not words.
